Classification and purpose of wires

  

Wire and cable products can be mainly divided into the following five categories according to their uses:


Bare wire: refers to products that only use conductors without insulation layers, including stranded wires, flexible connections, profiles, and profiles of various metals such as copper, aluminum, and composite metal round single wires and overhead transmission lines. Mainly used in suburban areas, rural areas, user main lines, switchgear, etc.


Winding wire: An electric wire that cuts magnetic field lines in the form of a winding in a magnetic field to induce current or generate a magnetic field through current, also known as electromagnetic wire, including enameled wire, wound wire, inorganic insulated wire, and other characteristics.


Power cable: refers to cable products used for transmitting high-power electrical energy on the main lines of the power system, including various voltage levels and insulated power cables ranging from 1000 to 330 thousand and above. Power cables are used in the backbone lines of power systems to transmit and distribute high-power electrical energy.


Communication cable and communication optical cable: Communication cable is a type of cable used to transmit telephone, telegraph, television, radio, data, and other electronic information; Communication optical cable is a medium for optical wave transmission, while RF cable is a type of cable used for transmitting radio frequency signals in electronic devices such as wireless communication and broadcasting.


Electrical equipment wires and cables: wires and cables for various electrical equipment and appliances that directly transmit electrical energy from the distribution point of the power system to the power connection line. This type of product has the widest application range and the largest variety, and its structure and performance are determined based on the characteristics of the equipment and the environmental conditions of use.


Overall, wire and cable products are mainly used in power systems, information transmission, and instrumentation systems.
